Data encription256-Bit Data Encryption

Data security and protection are the most important backup features businesses are looking for. We understand your concerns and have implemented the latest data encryption technologies to protect your data in transit. In addition to this, our servers are located in the secure data centre, providing protection most small and medium businesses cannot afford.

Prior to sending your data over the Internet, it is compressed and encrypted using 256-bit encryption. The encryption key (password) is selected by the user in the client-side application, before being uploaded and stored on the OneBackup Off-site Server (OneOBS).  The encryption key is known only to the user and cannot be reset. Data decryption is only possible with the user’s key. The selected encryption key will NEVER be uploaded to the OneOBS during the backup process. To further increase the level of protection, it is possible to upload and/or download backup data through a secure socket layer (SSL) channel. This process provides exceptional security to the backed up data.
